Coaches and Referees Refresher Course

Coaches and Referees shall adapt themselves to the fast changing world scenario in Powerlifting. New techniques most often appear in the coaching field the world over. The same shall be familiarized by the Coaches in India as early as possible. We must also change the obsolete methods and upgrade the field with modern techniques using modern equipments too. This is a must for improving the standards and competency level of our players.

Technical rules do change frequently. If our Referees. Coaches and players do not understand and follow the changes in rules, we will definitely fall behind. We are a vibrant organization, we can never fall behind anybody. So, the Referees, Coaches and players shall update themselves regarding powerlifting rules to meet the demands of time. With a view to improve the standards of Coaches and Referees, Powerlifting India has decided to conduct a Refresher Course for Coaches and  Referees during 1 – 3 February 2019.

Mr. Johan Smith, Chairman, Technical Committee, International Powerlifting Federation and Mrs. Vicky Botha former International Champion  will handle the programmes.

Powerlifting India has made all arrangements to conduct this programme in Kolkata along with the Federation Cup Powerlifting Championship. The participants will be awarded with certificates. Attending such courses and possessing certification thereof is likely to be made mandatory to be the Coaches and Referees in future.
